Hey Team,

Great talk in our meeting earlier this week. The energy around Leverage was fantastic, and I wanted to send a quick follow-up to keep that momentum rolling into the weekend.

We talked about how leverage isn’t about working harder—it’s about using systems, tools, and interdependent relationships to break the trade of time for money. But as you put leverage into practice, you have to ask yourself a critical question about how you are spending your time and energy:

Are you delivering Make-a-Difference Value, or are you stuck in "Nice-to-Do" Value?

In our business, the value we bring to our clients (and to our own daily operations) falls into three distinct categories:

1. Who-Cares Value

Value that is neither relevant nor irresistible. It’s fluff. It wastes your time and your client’s attention. We should avoid this entirely.

2. Nice-to-Do Value

This is where 90% of agents get trapped. Nice-to-Do value consists of tasks or services that are helpful, but they have no real retentive value and can easily be replicated by any other agent in town. It’s polished, it looks busy, but it doesn't necessarily move the profitability needle or transform a client's experience.

3. Make-a-Difference (M-A-D) Value

This is the gold standard. M-A-D Value is relevant, irresistible, irreplaceable, and transformational. It directly impacts results and solves immediate, real-world client problems.

A Real-World Example: Think about providing a client with a trusted local contractor or vendor right when they are stressed about inspection repairs or pre-listing prep.

That isn't just a "nice-to-do" gesture—it's M-A-D Value. It satisfies an urgent need, saves them time and money, leverages your network of allied resources, and transforms you from a transactional agent into an indispensable, lifelong advisor.

How Leverage Unlocks M-A-D Value

Here is where the two concepts intersect: You cannot consistently deliver M-A-D Value if you are buried in low-dollar, administrative noise.

When you build and lean on leverage:

  • Your Systems eliminate the guesswork, ensuring every client gets a high-level, consistent experience without you reinventing the wheel.

  • Your Tools automate the operational tasks in the background so you stay focused on your Highest and Best Use.

  • Your Interdependent Relationships (our team, your vendor network, and your accountability partners) give you the leverage to spend 100% of your time on dollar-productive activities.

When you leverage effectively, you free up the time and mental bandwidth required to deliver Make-a-Difference Value to every client, every single time.

Your Weekend Audit:

As you look at your schedule for the upcoming week, audit your calendar and ask yourself:

  1. Which of my daily activities are just "Nice-to-Do", and which ones truly Make a Difference?

  2. What tool, system, or relationship can I leverage next week to delegate or automate the noise?

Let’s keep stepping up on the Cycle-of-Mastery, focusing on what’s vital, and building a business that funds an abundant life.

Have a great weekend,

~ Stacey Harley
