Hey Team,
As we wrap up an eventful week, I wanted to take a moment to touch on the news regarding the RE/MAX and REAL merger. While major moves like this can dominate some of the headlines and boardrooms across the country, I want to bring the focus back to where it matters most: Right Here In Southeast Texas.
The reality is that corporate shifts don’t change our day-to-day mission. Locally, nothing changes for us. We are still the same powerhouse team, working with the best brokerage in Texas, and our commitment to our clients remains our absolute priority.
This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about why we are hired. Clients choose a professional agent because they expect the job to be done better than they could ever do it themselves. If we aren't providing that superior edge, what are they hiring us for?
I want to challenge everyone to ask themselves: “Am I doing just enough to get by, or am I going above and beyond what is ‘typical’? In a world of automated valuations and DIY listing platforms, our value lies in our expertise, our local knowledge, and our ability to navigate the complexities that a computer simply can't.
Speaking of expertise and navigating complexities, next week presents a massive opportunity for you to sharpen your tools. The Beaumont Board of REALTORS® has their Affiliate Hot Topics Breakfast featuring the Chief Appraiser for the Jefferson County Appraisal District and the Tax Assessor-Collector.
I know many of you have tough questions regarding recent assessments and tax implications for your clients. This is exactly the kind of opportunity where you prove your "above and beyond" value. By being in that room, getting those answers, and being able to explain the "why" to your clients, you aren't just an agent—you are a trusted advisor.
Let’s show up, stay focused on our local excellence, and continue to provide the service that sets RE/MAX ONE apart.
Wishing you all the best,
Stacey Harley
